TEN TECH LLC ABANDONNED ALL MSC PRODUCTS
Effective 12/12/2022, TEN TECH LLC no longer recommends, supports, sells or even use any of the MSC Products as we had done passionately since 2016. Our reasons for severing ties with MSC as a customer and reseller are multiple, both following grave product technical faults and very disapointing breach of trust of our reseller partnership.
TEN TECH LLC's Engineering Services group was designed from the ground up to be software-agnostic, whether for CAD Design, Finite Element Modeling & Analysis or Thermal and CFD solvers. This approach allows us to be truly independent from any software company's monopolistic behavior or misbehavior in general, offers our users a broader learning experience and allows us greater responsiveness and flexibility. This also lets us rapidly pivot when one of these tools becomes a burden or danger to our process, or their developper reneges on their duty to provide a quality product. A prime example of this utter failure is MSC and its APEX Modeler.
MSC APEX, while a promising tool in production in our offices since 2016, despite its quasi-inexistant market share, has become a major hindrance to performing the quality work all of our customers enjoy from us. Stability, performance and functionality all lacking and degrading at an alarming rate all at the same time for well over 6 months of releases, and with only unprofessional, arrogant or insulting responses from MSC's support and product development, we had no choice but cease use of this product immediately to prevent further damage to our business. Consequently, we have halted all MSC activities and use of any MSC product permanently.
Knowing what we know about some MSC products and their quality, production readiness, ability and performance, as well as MSC's sales force and product development complete disregard for their customers or partners, we can no longer consider or recommend MSC solutions without endangering our own reputation and the well being of our customers.
We would be more than happy to discuss and recommend the steps we took to recover, and even increase our productivity with alternative tools or methods from ANSYS, Siemens, Cadence, MAYA and Altair. A blessing in disguise on many fronts, which will allow us to bring even more value to all of our customers with extended toolsets with a much broader scope, while being at the same time more economical, more stable and perform far better.
